GIANCARLO, A WONDERFUL AMBASSADOR FOR THE “1 CLICK=1 METER” OPERATION

Giancarlo X Electriciens sans frontières: commitment with heart

Last 22nd January, Giancarlo was explaining us his factors for motivation during the race:

« My motivations on the Vendée Globe are introspection, contemplation, desire to transcend the limits, knowledge. Sometimes also love, even solidarity, and I am referring to the project of my partners with whom we have decided to collect cables to help the NGO Electriciens sans frontières.
The objective ? Give access to drinking water and electricity to populations in need or very islated, thanks to its network of partners and volunteers.
Thanks to Prysmian Group for this initiative. I know how much electricity is important on earth. Thanks to Electriciens sans frontières for giving me an additional motivation to overcome loneliness! »

The results in figures: likes and meters of cable

This operation was a real success! the three projects put forward during this round-the-world yacht race in the Saint-Charles Lwanga high school at Ziguinchor in Senegal, the hospital of Farafangana in Madagascar and the schools of N’grouli and Bawelessi in Togo found great interest among the community on social networks.

A total of 127 000 « likes », sharings and comments on social networks (Facebook and Instagram) were recorded for the project Prysmian Ocean Racing! It covers more than the 6 775 meters of cable necessary to complete the three projects.
