Solidarity Energy Week – 2024 Edition

Focus on events in our regional delegations alongside our partners

Around forty events organised all over France thanks to the tireless work of Electriciens sans frontières volunteers and our partners!

Thanks to the unfailing commitment of Electriciens sans frontières volunteers and their partners, more than 40 events were organised throughout France as part of Solidarity Energy Week 2024. This event, designed to raise awareness of the challenges of access to energy and water around the world, has once again established itself as a key event for solidarity.

Photo exhibitions, conferences at partner companies, stands at festivals, participation in sporting events, lunch debates: the diversity of initiatives testifies to the commitment of those involved.

A strong message on key global issues

🔌 675 million people still do not have access to electricity. While progress has been made, the current pace is not enough to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 7 of universal access to energy by 2030. Without increased efforts, it is estimated that 660 million people will remain without electricity by that date.

💧 More than 2 billion people live without safe access to clean water.

A collective success thanks to local commitment

Our actions this week, led by our regional delegations, highlighted these issues. In collaboration with local associations, corporate partners and numerous volunteers, each region carried the message of solidarity.

A big thank you to all our partners who spread this message to their network, and to all the volunteers and participants! Your commitment is essential to shedding light on the challenges of access to electricity and water for the most vulnerable populations, particularly in rural and isolated areas where these resources are essential levers for development.

We look forward to seeing you in 2025 for a new edition with even greater solidarity and innovation! Together, let’s make energy and water a right for everyone.

Thank you all for your invaluable support, all your likes, shares and comments on this solidarity initiative! #SolidarityEnergy
