Electriciens sans frontières is unique in that its volunteers are heavily involved in its governance, organisational life and projects. A team of salaried staff supports the work of the volunteers and provides long-term, cross-functional support for all the delegations and projects:
- Accounting: to ensure that the various receipts are collected and that payments are made to donors; to monitor operating expenses, including expenses relating to major projects monitored at national level, emergency missions, volunteers’ travel expenses for meetings, communication operations, fixed costs, etc.
- Management control: controlling the financial operations carried out at head office; preparing the structure’s provisional budgets; monitoring the accounts of the regional delegations and closing the accounts, etc.
- Overall financial monitoring of projects and the association: monitoring the association’s annual budget; checking project budgets, etc.
- Supporting projects and managing calls for projects: identifying potential donors and drafting grant applications; reporting on projects for the association and for our partners and donors
Seeking partnerships: identifying national partners; developing the association’s financial, human, material and logistical resources - Communication: informing and raising awareness among our various audiences about our news, projects and positions using a variety of media to raise the profile of our NGO and ultimately develop its resources.
- Day-to-day management of the association and its projects: ensuring the administrative management of the association; monitoring projects and missions.
This team is led by a General Delegate, who also acts as the link between the team and the association’s governing bodies, coordinates national projects and represents Electriciens sans frontières in various decision-making or influential bodies or networks (Coordination Sud, study groups).
