The regional delegation was created in 2007, and covers the Limousin (with two branches), in the Auvergne and Poitou-Charentes.
The delegation’s volunteers intervene in all Electriciens sans frontières’ activities, including access to energy, access to water, as well as expert missions and emergency response to natural disasters. In recent years, the countries where we have been active have included Togo, the DRC, Madagascar, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, as well as Haiti and the Philippines.
To give our projects the maximum support for their success, the activities are organised around working groups to which anyone can come just to listen, but to which they can commit themselves to bring their time and skills.
These groups are:
• The Project Teams, which design the missions in order to undertake them
• The Project Support Group, which provides technical and administrative support to the Project Teams
• Two committees: Administrative Support and Communication, and Members’ Welcome and Support.
• The secretariat, composed of the Director, the Treasurer, the Communications and Partnership Officer, the Projects Officer and the officers from the three branches.
